But that’s rarely the real answer. You don’t need to buy milk at 5pm — you need to buy it when you’re at the store.

Rem-ly can express that. Most reminder apps can’t.

Reminders for other people

You can send a reminder to a mutual contact, fired by a condition about them — remind your flatmate to grab the parcel when they get home.

Consent is the product, not a setting

  1. Nothing is monitored until the person agrees.

    A reminder with a condition about someone else is created inactive. They get a request naming the exact condition. It stays inactive until they accept. Enforced server-side, not in the UI.

  2. Contacts are mutual.

    You can only send to someone who accepted a request from you. Nobody can be added unilaterally.

  3. Decline, revoke, block, report.

    All four, any time.

  4. No map, ever.

    “Near Person” is still in certification and off for everyone. When it arrives it compares two short-lived samples and returns near or not near; samples are deleted after two hours. There is no location history and no way to see where anyone is.

This is a reminder app, not a tracker, and it’s built so it couldn’t become one.
